Welcome to Managing Life's Changes, also Managing Change, LLC. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our first aid training classes and life coaching services ("Services"). By booking, purchasing, or participating in our Services, you ("Client," "Student," "You") agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
2. Services Description
- First Aid Classes: We provide certified and non-certified instructional courses in first aid, CPR, AED, and other emergency response skills. Courses include both theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on training.
- Life Coaching Services: We provide professional life coaching services, which are designed to facilitate personal and professional growth, goal setting, and achievement. Coaching is not psychotherapy, psychological counseling, mental health care, or medical treatment. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health disorders.
3. Client Responsibilities
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and throughout our engagement.
- Health and Safety (First Aid Classes): You are responsible for disclosing any physical, mental, or emotional conditions, limitations, or allergies that may affect your ability to safely participate in practical activities (e.g., knee injuries that prevent kneeling for CPR practice). We will make reasonable accommodations where possible.
- Coaching Participation (Life Coaching): You acknowledge that coaching requires your active participation and honesty. Success is dependent on your commitment and effort. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and actions resulting from the coaching relationship.
4. Payments, Fees, and Cancellation Policy
- Fees: All fees for Services are as listed on our website or quoted at the time of booking and are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- Rescheduling and Cancellations by Client:
- First Aid Classes: Cancellations made more than 7 business days before the class will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 business days may be subject to a rescheduling fee or credit toward a future class. No-shows will not be refunded.
- Life Coaching: We require 24 to 48 hours notice for rescheduling or canceling a session. Sessions canceled with less than the required notice will be charged in full.
- Cancellations by Us: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a first aid class due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our management and/or administrative capability. You will be notified promptly and offered a placement in a future class. Refunds due to these situations will be made within 30 days.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
- First Aid Training Disclaimer: Successful completion of a first aid course does not guarantee competency or certification. Certification is contingent upon demonstrating the required skills and knowledge to the instructor's satisfaction. While training provides essential skills, Managing Life's Changes / Managing Change, LLC and its instructors cannot guarantee your performance in an actual emergency and are not liable for the outcomes of any real-life first aid incident.
- Life Coaching Disclaimer: Coaching is not a substitute for professional advice from a qualified medical, legal, financial, or mental health professional. You are encouraged to seek such services from a licensed professional if needed.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Managing Life's Changes / Managing Change, LLC, its instructors, coaches, and employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, emotional distress, or financial loss, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use our Services.
7. Confidentiality
- Life Coaching: Your coaching conversations are confidential. However, confidentiality is subject to legal and ethical limitations. Coaches are mandated reporters and are required to disclose information if there is a threat of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of suspected abuse.
- First Aid Classes: While we encourage a respectful learning environment, the classroom setting is not confidential.
8. Certifications (First Aid Classes Only)
Certification is typically valid for two years from the date of successful course completion. It is your responsibility to track your certification status and renew before expiration. We are not responsible for notifying you of expiring certifications.
9. Code of Conduct
We are committed to a safe and respectful environment for all clients and staff. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

2. Coaching vs. Psychotherapy
- Life Coaching is a collaborative, future-oriented process focused on personal and professional development, goal setting, and creating actionable strategies to achieve your desired outcomes. A referral can be provided upon request, and we may pause our coaching engagement until you have secured the appropriate support.

You, the client, are entirely responsible for your own physical, mental, and emotional well-being during the coaching process, as well as the decisions and actions you take as a result of our work. Life Coaching results are not guaranteed. The effectiveness of the coaching process relies heavily on your own motivation, openness, and commitment to the process.
